Yesterday, I attended the first meeting of the La Forge Artisans Group.
The trades represented included landscapers, plumbing, roofing, plastering, carpentry, Internet services, ground working, metal polishing, translation and web design. The meeting was organised by Myles and Jackie, owners of the La forge pub, as a means of enabling artisans and clients to connect.
Terry, a painter and decorator said, “This gives us an excellent opportunity to meet with clients and colleagues and exchange ideas.â€
Colin and Steve, a roofing and carpentry team said “ We have benefited already with meeting Penny Graphics who we have commissioned to design us a web site, because it is no good relying solely on word of mouthâ€.
If anyone is in need of an artisan, the meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at La Forge pub. They are open to all and are ideal for an informal chat in pleasant surroundings.
Short answer: yes & nothing. Longer answer: To advertise your business on these pages at the moment costs nothing. We reserve the right to perhaps charge for adverts in the future. To place an advert email the Editor explaining what type of ad you would like. The sizes are 450×60, 175×175, and 193×60. The advert must be no bigger than 12k and will run for six months. And of course we reserve the right to refuse your ad with no reason given. So, if you are a plumber, a roofer, a pub landlord or such like and would like to present your services to a growing English speaking readership in Normandy simply email me the details for your ad….what are you waiting for, a written invite? You've just had one!
Oh, and one last thing.... I'd expect a reciprocal link back to Normandy Magazine. Fair enough?
