If you are looking for a really fun day out for all the family, then why not pop down to Le Faix Working Horse Farm, in St Gilles des Marais, 3kms from Domfront on the 27th August.

Need an artisan or builder? If so many local trades will also have stands there, from roofers to dog food suppliers, so this is the place to meet them.
The highlight of the day has got to be the Horse Show and Sale, there will also be carriage driving and a chance to meet the working horses and other breeds of horses that are at the farm.
In fact there will also be lots of rare breeds animals and livestock, ranging from Pigs, Cattle, Horses, Dogs, and Poultry. A dog show is planned during the day.
Other attractions include demonstrations of Fly Fishing, a saddle fitting demonstration, horse shoe painting contest for the under 10,s. A horse shoe throwing contest, with the first prize being a free Cider Day at Le Faix Working Farm.

After the Show why not go back for Le Faix Cider Days where you get a chance to work with the horses picking the apples and pears. The fruit is then pulped and squeezed and everyone goes home with at least 5 gallons of juice to ferment into Cider.
Running for four separate days the cost is 45 euros per person with a maximum of 8 people per day and includes a
Ploughmans lunch and refreshments.
