bee.jpgIn the summer months, insect bites and stings and sunburn are always a problem. But they need not be. They can easily be dealt with using Essential Oils. For bites and stings, apply and rub in one drop of each of Tea Tree and Lavender Essential Oils to the affected area and you will almost certainly find that the pain and swelling will go in a matter of minutes. It is a quick reaction that makes the treatment more effective. So, carry the little bottles with you. For sunburn, add about four or five drops of Lavender Essential Oil to a teaspoon of any kitchen oil - Sweet almond is best, but anything will do - and apply to the area affected. Repeat the treatment every three or four hours, depending on the severity. For children you may want to dilute the mix further.

These are just two very effective treatments that cost a fraction of the price of the well known brands you get in the chemist - and they are likely to be much more effective.
