R.T.E and E.D.F. Have finally agreed to a debate and have a working commission with the tribunal administatif de Caen.
Bright yellow notices have been placed along the proposed route written in a such a tiny typeface I imagine most of the local population will be unable to read it. Also, a brochure trait d'union (issue number 6 May 2009, as yet is not available on the cotentin website, though issue five is as a downladable pdf) has been sent out to all households along the route.
You can also visit the following websites for more info about the lines www.rte-france.com and www.cotentin-maine.com . Please note, in the trait d'union the website address is given incorrectly, written as www-rte-france.com, and neither website has yet been updated to included the notification of the public meetings.
After the public enquiry, a report will later be made public, and on the basis of the conclusions of the enquiry and the response by RTE, plus the response of the general public, it will then be down to the government to give the final response.
The meetings which are to be held in the local Maries, between June 2nd and July 3rd amongst the first will be at the Prefecture in St Lo at 9h00 to 12h00, four meetings are scheduled at St Lo, St Laurent de Cuves at 14h00, Ernée at 9h00, St Pierre des Landes 14h00. First of three meetings at Percy 10th June from 14h00 to 17h00.
